The push plate is the perfect companion to our "Windsor" pattern door hardware, pairing beautifully with sets like our 904E or 901J. It's also beautiful as a standalone item, giving your swinging doors a classic touch!

As part of our acclaimed Signature Series line, the "Windsor" pattern push plate is a heavy, solid brass plate that has been produced, by hand, in small, limited quantities by one of the world's leading metallurgists and brass artisans. It's produced using the finest method of brass casting, Lost Wax, and then hand chased and finished. Each piece is truly a work of art.

Originally manufactured by the Reading Hardware Co., the Windsor design was widely distributed by the Sears, Roebuck & Co., and Montgomery Wards. The pattern was added to almost every kind of builder's hardware, from widow fasteners to cabinet knobs. Though reflective of Victorian decorative art, the Windsor pattern was manufactured well into the 1930's.
